Firebase Dynamic Links alternative, for store routing only

Google shut down Firebase Dynamic Links on August 25, 2025. Existing page.link URLs return 404. Many teams used FDL mainly to send iPhone users to the App Store and Android users to Google Play — that job does not need a full deep-linking or attribution stack.

Firebase Dynamic Links alternative, for store routing only

What FDL was

Firebase Dynamic Links mixed several jobs

Firebase Dynamic Links could route people by device, fall back to the right store, and (with more setup) support deferred deep linking into an installed app. It was free and widely used in bios, email, ads, and print.

When Google turned it off, every old Dynamic Link broke. Enterprise MMPs advertise themselves as full replacements — which is right if you need deferred deep linking and install attribution, and overkill if you only need store routing.

What most teams still need

One store link and one QR is enough for many apps

If your FDL usage was “one public URL that opens the correct store,” recreate that with AnyLinks: paste App Store and Google Play URLs, pick a short path, share the link or download a QR.

There is no SDK to add and no ad page before the redirect. Free covers 3 links and 10,000 clicks/mo. Pro is $29/mo with 100 links, unlimited clicks, one custom domain, and 90-day breakdowns.

Honest scope

AnyLinks is not a full FDL replacement

We do not offer deferred deep linking, in-app content routing, or an import wizard for old page.link URLs. You create new short links and update the places that still point at FDL.

Pick an MMP when you need measurement and deferred deep linking. Pick AnyLinks when you need a clean store-routing link and QR that never shows an ad.

Questions

Is AnyLinks a drop-in Firebase Dynamic Links replacement?

For store routing and QR distribution, yes in practice: one short link sends iPhone to the App Store and Android to Google Play. It is not a drop-in for deferred deep linking or FDL import — you create new links and swap the old URLs.

Do I need an SDK after FDL?

Not for store routing. AnyLinks works from a short URL. Add an MMP SDK only if you still need install attribution or deferred deep linking.

What about my old page.link URLs?

They no longer work after the FDL shutdown. Create an AnyLinks short link with the same store destinations and replace the old URLs in bios, email, ads, and printed QR codes.

One store link. Never an ad.
